Santo Stefano is an idyllic little village in the centre of Val Pusteria with a view of the Alps and the Val Aurina. To the south extends the Val Badia with the breath-taking scenery of the Dolomites, the UNESCO WORLD NATURAL HERITAGE site. We are only 5 km away from the romantic small town of Brunico. That is 5 minutes by car, 25 minutes by bus or 45 minutes on foot. Brunico is a very nice town with many shops in the old town centre and also has a lot to offer culturally and regarding food. Our main village San Lorenzo is only 1.5 km away, which also has a nice centre with various possibilities. The ski lifts of the Plan de Corones ski and hiking area are also only 1.5 km away. The perfect location for a promising holiday in the heart of the Val Pusteria. Our homely village offers a restaurant with pizzeria, a traditional restaurant and a mountain inn. There is a bus connection to San Lorenzo and Brunico as well as to the Plan de Corones valley station in Riscone.
The picturesque town of Brunico.
A nice place to stroll.
The old town of Brunico hoards treasures like old frescoes and picturesque house facades. Once surrounded by the city walls with its four gates, its old town center now accommodates many shops and restaurants. If you walk uptown, you will quickly see Brunico Castle, which dates from the 13th century. Today there is the RIPA, one of the six museums established by the South Tyrolean mountaineering legend Reinhold Messner.
